Kristen haseltine
president & CEO
Kristen Haseltine serves as the President and CEO of Show Me Christian County, where she leads the organization's team, collaborates with the board of directors, and champions its mission to drive sustainable growth and development across Christian County. Kristen joined SMCC in April 2022, bringing her passion for community development and extensive experience in nonprofit leadership.
Under her leadership, SMCC has worked alongside Christian County’s seven incorporated communities to address local needs and advance key initiatives. Her tenure includes spearheading nearly $4 million in grant applications for critical infrastructure improvements, launching a tourism website to highlight Christian County’s unique assets, tackling childcare shortages, supporting business retention, and guiding hundreds of acres of new development projects. These efforts are projected to drive over $500 million in business expansion across the county.
With more than 15 years of experience in nonprofit leadership in the Ozarks, Kristen’s career is rooted in making a lasting impact. She holds a Master of Business Administration from Drury University, where she developed her commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for growth in the region.
As a lifelong Ozarks resident, Kristen continues to call the area home with her husband, Conor, and son, Phillip. Together, they enjoy exploring the outdoors, traveling, and supporting local events that celebrate the culture of the region.
Anna Evans, MoCED
Vice President
As Vice President - Business Retention & Expansion, Anna works to connect local business owners with the education and resources they need to grow and expand here in Christian County. She serves as SMCC's staff liaison for the organization's Strong Business Council and Government Relations Committee, and takes the lead in communicating local business and industry concerns with elected officials at the local, state, and federal levels.
Anna is a certified business resilience manager and executes FORTIFY Christian County, SMCC's business resilience outreach program. She serves on Christian County's COAD (Community Organizations Active in Disaster) team, and is a graduate of the Citizen's Fire Academy through the Ozark Fire Protection District. Previous roles in the county include marketing and event management and serving as Executive Director for the Ozark Chamber of Commerce.
Originally from Oklahoma, Anna has called Southwest MO home for more than a decade. She resides in Springfield, MO with her husband Dustin, two small dogs, and a growing collection of coffee tumblers.
Stevie Barfoot
Marketing Manager
As the Marketing Manager for Show Me, Stevie is the guiding hand behind both internal and external communication strategies. Stevie employs a versatile approach, utilizing a combination of traditional and digital media.
With a rich background in the medical industry spanning the last 5 years, Stevie has seamlessly blended her skills in marketing, web, and design. During this time, she navigated diverse projects for clients across the United States, demonstrating a keen understanding of patient education.
Stevie's journey extends beyond her professional roles, with numerous years dedicated to freelance design and photography. Her creative eye and technical expertise converge to produce visually compelling narratives, capturing moments that resonate.
Stevie also holds a remote pilot's license for drone operations, adding a unique aerial perspective to her creative toolkit.
Stevie says, “I'm inspired to be part of a team fueled by passion for our community. I'm excited to leverage my creative skills to help highlight the Ozarks.”
Rachel Campbell
Operations Manager
Rachel Campbell serves as Operations Manager at Show Me Christian County, where she oversees day-to-day business operations, manages investor relations and funding, and ensures streamlined processes that keep the organization running efficiently. Her role allows the team to focus on their primary responsibilities with the confidence that nothing is falling through the cracks. Rachel's previous experience in both non-profit and for-profit organizations, makes her a well-rounded addition to our team.
Beyond her strategic expertise, she has a passion for creativity—whether through painting, sewing, or making intricate paper art. Her ability to blend analytical thinking with hands-on artistry gives her a unique edge in problem-solving and innovation. In her free time, Rachel enjoys camping, reading a good book, and spending time with her husband and son.
Rachel says, “As someone who personally views the Ozarks as one of the most beautiful places in the Midwest, I am so excited to join a team that gets to shine a spotlight on Christian County on a daily basis.”
