How can we better support our growing communities? What resources do businesses need to succeed? The answer was clear—Christian County needed a dedicated partner to help guide sustainable development across the region.

By 2017, those conversations led to the formation of Show Me Christian County (SMCC)—a county-wide economic development organization created through collaboration between the public and private sectors. Today, SMCC represents the interests of seven communities: Billings, Clever, Fremont Hills, Highlandville, Nixa, Ozark, and Sparta.

We exist to advance economic growth and quality of life in Christian County, Missouri, by connecting partners and resources. Our work supports business attraction, retention and expansion, community enhancement, and strategic promotion of Christian County as a destination for both investment and visitation.

We know economic development doesn’t happen overnight. Some projects take years to bring to life—and we’re committed to staying the course. Through long-range planning, strong partnerships, and a shared vision, we’re building something that lasts.
