Christian County Catches National Geographic Traveller UK’s Attention

National Geographic Traveller UK has released a sponsored feature article highlighting Christian County as a must-visit destination in the heart of the Ozarks. The article explores the county’s local events, scenic outdoor activities, and local eats, showcasing the authentic experiences that make Christian County special.

This collaboration began when National Geographic Traveller UK discovered Show Me Christian County’s 2026 planning page, which highlighted the region’s role in upcoming major events such as the centennial celebration of Route 66, the United States Semiquincentennial, and Kansas City’s World Cup host city status. Drawn to Christian County’s unique charm and its role as a bridge between Springfield and Branson, the article celebrates the area’s welcoming small-town culture and diverse attractions spread across the county.

This opportunity was made possible through the collaboration and support of local partners, including the City of Nixa, the City of Ozark, the Nixa Area Chamber of Commerce, the Ozark Chamber of Commerce, Show Me Christian County, and private investors. A paid partnership with National Geographic UK highlighted the need for a dedicated resource to better connect residents and visitors with the region’s offerings, which led to the creation of Explore Christian County. Now, Christian County’s unique story is being shared with a global audience, showcasing the charm and character that make the area truly special.
