SMCC helped secure an infrastructure grant, setting the stage for future growth in Christian County. The 50+ acre site is dedicated to expanding the tech industry and warehousing sectors. A new access road, funded by grants, will connect the park to the Chadwick Flyer trail system, paving the way for both business and recreational success.

Helping Our Families Thrive: Billings Before/After School Childcare Program

A brand-new pilot program with OACAC, tailored to district-wide needs identified by SMCC. All-day Monday care and before/after school services Tuesday through Friday make it easier for working families to manage their day.

Sales Tax Education Workshop

In September 2024, Show Me Christian County hosted an interactive Sales Tax Education Workshop at the Nixa Chamber. Participants were given "fake money" to spend at local businesses, simulating real-world spending. We then broke down where all the sales tax dollars went, highlighting how they support essential community services. The event was a huge success, with attendees not only gaining valuable insights but also having fun—yes, we made learning about taxes fun!
